Chris is a great guitar teacher and really makes the classes fun and engaging. I look forward to my lessons with him as well as Dave! My progress has improved tremendously in the two months or less that I've been taking lessons and it only makes me more excited for whats to come!

I really enjoy Rochester's School of Guitar, and I have seen amazing progress in my guitar playing ability after just two months of lessons. Chris and all of the other teachers do a great job at ensuring we use proper techniques and understand what we are playing. We train in many different areas of playing guitar rather than focusing on one thing at a time. I would definitely recommend signing up for lessons with Chris if you want to become a great guitarist!

The best thing to happen to my guitar playing since tablature. The Rochester School of Guitar utilizes a tried-and-true approach to guitar fundamentals paired with a go-at-your-own-pace learning environment. Classes are laid back and fun, yet educational and productive. My skills have improved dramatically since starting lessons at the Rochester School of Guitar. Classes are affordable and, given the amount of one-on-one time with instructors, feel like private lessons without the extra cost and uncomfortable awkwardness of having someone stare at you while you play. Perhaps the most positive thing I can say is that I look forward to lessons and practicing. The Rochester School of Guitar has greatly reduced the frustration I experienced with my stagnation and given me a path and the tools to improve my guitar playing skills. Five stars. I highly recommend The Rochester School of Guitar for the beginner or intermediate player looking to learn to play guitar or improve their guitar playing skills.

I had been a self taught guitarist for a few years, but felt like I was making no progress. In just a few months of going to lessons I have learned and grown more than I normally would in a year!

Rochester’s School of Guitar is the best!! The format is great, it feels like a private lesson even with 3 others in the class at a time. The teachers are awesome as well. I was self taught for many years and focusing on the wrong things. Chris, Brad, and Cameron helped me get past some of my bad habits. I can use a pick and harmonics now which is huge for speed and understanding when freestyling, and my chord switches are much more clean. Thanks, guys you rock!!!

I have been self-taught for many years and for a while now have been feeling stuck and unable to improve. I tried many online lessons with little or no success. Some of the online courses seemed good but they were missing one major component. They could not give me any feedback.I went to the Rochester School of Guitar to see if they could help. Chris met with me for 1 hour and performed an assessment of my skill level in all sorts of areas. Right away Chris suggested ways to improve on my fundamentals. This type of feedback is what I really needed. From there, we structured a customized course addressing the things I needed to improve upon and honing the things I already had some proficiency in. Almost immediately I felt that my playing had improved! I no longer feel stuck, and I am having a great time learning and improving my abilities.

My daughter has been going to this location for maybe about a year now! She LOVES her improvement & the teachers are really good with her! The environment for kids to be able to learn & enjoy the class is very good! In a parent perspective easy to communicate with & understanding!

Chris and his staff have made obsessed with getting better at guitar again. Their group style classes keep things relaxed but focused. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for lessons.

I’ve been taking lessons for about 5 months now and I love every second of it! The way Chris and his teaching staff handle the process is incredible and I’d recommend the school to anyone eager to start learning!! Everyone is very helpful and the guidance is unheard of anywhere else! You won’t regret it!

I have been taking guitar lessons for 3 months with Rochester's School of Guitar. Before starting lessons here, I had zero experience with any musical instrument. The teachers are knowledgeable and patient. Group lessons allow me to focus without feeling pressured. I have always felt comfortable with Chris and his team, and enjoy learning how to play the guitar. I will recommend Rochester's School of Guitar to anyone who is looking to learn.

I have been going here for three months now and I have learned more in these three months than I have in the past 15 years of trying to teach myself. The lesson plans keep things interesting and my progress inspires me to challenge myself while keeping things fun. I can’t wait to see my progress in the months (and years) to come!

Chris and his teachers are fantastic. I am an older student and started from the very basics. All the teachers have really helped me. I quickly developed and can play songs, and practice fundamentals with ease. I improve my playing and skill every lesson. I look forward to every lesson. Thank you, Chris, Steve, Cam, and Mike.

I went looking for lessons when teaching myself for the last 3 years was not giving me the results I had hoped for. After just 6 months of lessons at Rochester School of Guitar I am much farther along then I could have hoped for. Chris and his instructors are patient and down to earth. The lesson style and structure help build the proper foundation and fundamentals. Numerous 1 hr class blocks are avaliable through-out the day, 7 days a week.

I have been taking Rochester School of guitar lessons for 9 months.I played the guitar before, but I wanted to have a real technical and theoretical basis to be able to move on to the next level and thus be able to read any part. The flexibility of session planning is great, but it's Chris's methodology that makes learning easy, encouraging and contextual.Let's be honest music theory can be quite off-putting. But when it is applied to practice, on song/music that you like .... it goes much better right away!Group classes may seem difficult at first sight and yet I find many advantages:- Learn from each other: being with people of different levels allows me to share experiences and also learn from my classmates- Benefit from the explanations of Chris and other teachers even when they are not for me- the pleasure of meeting my class colleagues every week- Support and encouragement from everyone: because the atmosphere is supportive and friendly- The diversity of the teachers is very appreciable, each one having his own advice, here I am equipped with different approaches! Finally not a week without bursts of laughter and frankly that contributes at least to 80% in the motivation.Congratulations to Chris and the whole teamKeep going!

I have been taking lessons with Chris and team at the Rochester’s School of Guitar for a little more then a year now. It has been and continues to be a joy to work and learn from from Chris and the other great teachers at the school. The group setting is in my opinion a positive learning environment. The break you get as a teacher goes around individually helping other students, gives you a chance to practice something you were just taught before getting back to you. I think that much more desirable then having some one standing over the top of me watching all the time. For me it is much more relaxing. I look forward to my continued learning experience at the school.

I have been taking lessons from Chris for 9 months. I have never picked up a guitar before starting. I am extremely happy with the progress that I have made! Chris is super talented player and equally a very good teacher!, his program is second to none. Everyone learns at their own pace, there isn’t any pressure to “keep up with the group “. Chris’s program is very well structured and produces results!!, I wouldn’t ever think of taking lessons anywhere else, and it’s a fun time with great people!!!
